Teacher from Italy:
I think that pupils must be free to experiment the sound possibilities of an instrument. They can express themselves, their emotions and feelings through music.
I’m working with two pupils with serious disabilities. My musical project is to teach them that body can become a musical instrument too: to clap the hands, step the feet, snap the fingers and we can do some other sound action.
Then I teach them to recognize simple musical instruments as maracas, little drums, metal or wooden sound blocks by their sounds, to name them, to draw and to color them and to read the symbols for playing musical sequences.
I’m going to create this activity page on twinspace.
